This project is a complete sound redesign of the iPhone 17 commercial, created to explore a refined and modern audio identity for Apple’s next-generation device.

In this sound redesign, I reimagined the audio identity of the iPhone 17 reveal by crafting a clean, modern, and emotionally intentional sonic experience.

The aim was to design a sound world that feels unmistakably Apple, minimal yet expressive, premium yet subtle, and deeply connected to the device’s gestures and animations. While inspired by Apple’s signature design language, every sound in this project was built from scratch to explore how the next generation of iPhone could feel sonically.

This is an unofficial, non-commercial reinterpretation, produced solely for artistic exploration, skill development, and portfolio presentation.

    • Tone & Atmosphere: I focused on a minimalist, pure, and premium sonic tone, balancing subtle tactile sensations with moments of excitement and curiosity. The palette includes soft haptics, delicate UI gestures, muted textures for focus, and a warm saxophone layer to bring an unexpected yet elegant character.

    • Pacing & Movement: Certain moments intentionally become more muted or “foggy” to guide attention to key design features, while later sections introduce a rhythmic build that leads into a clean, confident final reveal.

    • Emotional Direction: Designed to feel innovative, inviting, and intuitive, using sound to evoke curiosity, clarity, and the signature Apple sense of “effortless magic.

    • UI & Interaction: Custom haptic tones, screenshot clicks, Siri-inspired cues, subtle tap responses

    • Textures: Motion-based swells, soft ambient layers, intentionally muffled moments for focus

    • Musical Layers: Light rhythmic elements, tonal pads, and a minimal saxophone motif to add warmth and uniqueness while maintaining Apple’s ethos

    • Transitions: Clean, precise movements designed to communicate refinement, innovation, and premium craft

    • Only the timing and visual structure of the commercial were kept.
      All sound elements, haptics, UI responses, textures, transitions, musical cues, and atmospheres were recreated entirely from scratch.
